Each year millions of tourists travel to Hawaii, some for the first time but many as return visitors who couldn’t get enough sun, surfing, and culture on their original trip. No matter if it is your first time or your hundredth, Apple Specials has plenty of all inclusive packages available to make sure you have such a great time that you’ll want to return!

Hawaiian Islands

Hawaii is a volcanic island chain in the Pacific Ocean and the most recently accepted state in

America. British explorer James Cook was the first European to discover Hawaii in 1778 and originally named it “The Sandwich Islands” after his financier John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich. It was an independent territory from 1894 until 1898, when it became a US territory. It was a territory during the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and eventually became the United States’ 50th state in 1959.

Today, Hawaii is home to over a million permanent citizens as well as guests and US military. The citizens of the island speak both English and the Hawaiian Language, descended from Polynesian dialects. Culturally, Hawaii is a blend of North American, Asian, and local influences that make up it radiant traditions and customs.

Over a hundred islands comprise Hawaii, though the most commonly known are the eight main islands, which are a bit larger. The main eight islands are Hawaii (The Big Island), Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Lanai, Molokai, Kahoolawe, and Niihau.

Climate

Hawaii has a tropical climate, though it is less humid than a typical tropical environment. Temperature highs consistently stay in the 80s year round. Hawaii really only has two seasons, the dry season from May to October and the wet season the remainder of the year. Snow can fall in some areas during the winter months up in the peaks of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on The Big Island. Mount Wai’ale’ale on Kauai has the second highest rainfall per year on the planet, averaging 460 inches annually.

Tourism

Tourism is one of Hawaii’s main sources of revenue, with millions of visitors travelling to the island each year. Guests enjoy the climate, culture and relaxed atmosphere. English-speaking tourists especially appreciate the comfort and easiness of being able to communicate with the natives in their own language.

Tourist activities include snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, whale watching, dining on local cuisine, entertainment based on native culture, and tours of the surrounding areas.

Best Time To Go

Honestly, Hawaii is lovely all year long. During the winter, the nights tend to be a little chillier, with temperatures in the sixties, but the days are always pleasant.

The waters of the Pacific Ocean off of Hawaii’s shores are particularly spectacular. They stay so warm that guests don’t even have to run while shivering back to a towel to dry; instead they can slowly bask in the sun’s rays.

It is possible to encounter rain storms from October to April, but they are usually just passing showers.
Apple vacations offers year-round vacation plans including all inclusive packages for whenever you decide to visit.

Barceló Karmina Palace: Warm & Calm Sunsets in Manzanillo

Posted by applespecials On February - 8 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS

Where is Manzanillo?
The region of Manzanillo is situated on Mexico’s western coast, inside a small bay. On a tiny peninsula of land in Manzanillo is the Barceló Karmina Palace Resort. This beautiful Mexico all inclusive resort is nestled between the crystalline waters of the Pacific Coast, the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains, and a neighboring world class golf course… All only 30 minutes from nearest international airport. Compared to other Mexico all inclusive resorts, this location really has it all.
About the Resort:
The Barceló Karmina Palace is a grand class Apple vacation resort, rich with decorations from the Mayans, one of the most advanced civilizations in history. The Mayan style architecture is modeled after authentic temples and pyramids and richly compliments the flower-filled gardens. The resort is located on a 425 foot stretch of private, sandy, calm, beachfront waters. The surf is as warm and gentle as the resort’s 8 swimming pools, all interconnected by fountains, waterfalls, and a waterslide. A very special feature is the private, warm-water swimming cove. This Apple vacation resort is 100% suites, and some even come equipped with swimming pools on their terraces.
Dining is obviously all inclusive and guests choose from 6 restaurant options and five cocktail lounges. If you’re hungry for that after-hours fourth meal, 24 hour room service is available. World class golf that has been ranked among the top 100 golf courses on the planet is practically next door to the resort. Live entertainment occurs nightly and day activities can range from fun in the sun to whale watching excursions.
Kid’s Options:
The Barcey Club is a club for kids 12 and under. Along with all the fun stuff any resort’s “Kid’s Club” offers, the Barcey Club has “mini Olympics”, PlayStation gaming consoles, and sandcastle building.

La Romana is one of the best provinces in the Dominican Republic for all inclusive vacations.  The capital city of the Dominican Republic shares the La Romana name, and is actually the third largest city in the entire country.

Essentially, a visit to La Romana can be rather multidimensional, but it will definitely include images of sugar cane fields, crystal clear turquoise waters, astounding architecture and maybe a dolphin sighting or two if you’re lucky.

La Romana has one of the largest resorts in Casa de Campo that has played host as an all inclusive vacation site to many of the world’s rich and famous, including dignitaries, world leaders and many high profile business people, athletes and entertainers.

Casa de Campo is also one of the largest and most famous golf destinations in the world, featuring four internationally known golf courses. The “Tooth of the Dog” is the most famous internationally ranked golf course among Caribbean vacation enthusiasts, and also considered to be in the Top 100 worldwide. “Tooth of the Dog” was designed by internationally recognized golf course icon Pete Dye.

In addition to golfing, Casa de Campo is known as one of the best all inclusive Caribbean vacation spots in the world—Apple Vacations sells tons of all inclusive vacation packages to Caribbean travelers seeking an experience in the Dominican Republic.  Bill Clinton, Elizabeth Taylor, Shakira and Alex Rodriguez are just a few of the world’s famous celebrities that have vacationed in one of Casa de Campo’s all inclusive resorts.

Another area many all inclusive vacation travelers are attracted to in La Romana is Altos de Chavon.  Altos de Chavon is a hub of the arts and home to a local university—it’s a re-creation of a 15th century Mediterranean village, complete with cobblestone pathways, unique shopping districts, world-recognized exhibits of sculptures and art, and a large amphitheatre of red stone that’s built into the ground.  Sting, Placido Domingo, Heart, Santana—these are just a few of the entertainers that have played the amphitheatre in Altos de Chavon.

Isla Catalina is another amazing attraction in La Romana—especially if you’re a diving or snorkeling enthusiast.  Isla Catalina is only six square miles and it’s completely surrounded by a coral reef nature preserve, making it one of the finest diving landscapes in the Caribbean.

If you’re particularly adventurous, check out Fun Fun Cave, located in Hato Mayor just outside of La Romana—they’re some of the largest caves in the Caribbean and actually extent almost four miles underground!

Apple Vacations All Inclusives of Note in La Romana: Dreams La Romana Resort and Spa, Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, Casa de Campo.
