Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana: Discover the Dominican Republic

Posted by applespecials On February - 18 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS

On the East coast of the Dominican Republic are the tropical gardens and luscious palms that we dream about and hope to God that someday we get to see. Dreams Palm Beach resort in Punta Cana is the perfect all inclusive destination for a great family vacation. There is enough food and fun to keep everyone happy, while making sure the adults get the real vacation they need… just how any Apple vacation should be.
But We Want to Ditch the Kids!
That’s okay here! Leave them at the Explorer’s Kids Club anytime between 9AM and 10PM! The Red Cross certified staff supervises treasure hunts, sandcastle competitions, beach camping, ocean trampolines, monster-size basketball, and other crazy stuff. Pagers are available for those parents that just need to stay in touch. The Core Zone day program is available for teens. Both programs are part of the all inclusive vacation packages, so there is no extra cost.
It’s just as fun to be an adult here as it is a kid. In addition to fun water sports like snorkeling and windsurfing, there are big screen movies right on the beach, moonlit theme parties, cocktail receptions, a casino, stargazing, and different surprises each night. They even have bocce ball. Who doesn’t love bocce ball! Golf is nearby. And if you dare, try the Euro-bungee. The notoriously friendly staff will grant pretty much any request. For a truly special moment, ask about a private romantic dinner on the beach.
Details:
Each of the 513 suites come with spacious and furnished balconies or terraces, and flat screens. Some even have in-room Jacuzzis. Dreams Palm Beach boasts 8 restaurants and 8.5 bars… I’m not exactly sure what defines a “half” of a bar, but I like the idea of it! There are 3 beautiful freshwater pools, including one kids’ pool and one adults’ only pool, with sundecks, shaded areas, and a swim-up bar. Overall, this is an amazing location and destination for a Dominican Republic all inclusive vacation.

The Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana: Too Much Fun Stuff

Posted by applespecials On February - 8 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS

What Kinds of Fun?
Wine tasting, daily yoga and tai-chi, cooking classes, pool volleyball, beach soccer, salsa and meringue dance lessons, painting.  These are just some of the features that make the Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana stand out compared to other competing Caribbean all inclusive resorts. Snorkeling, sailing, and a casino are available at this Apple vacation resort, and of course there’s a golf course close by. When I vacationed here it was impossible to be bored. The selection of daytime and nighttime activities is endless.
Largest Pool on the Entire Island!
I was pleased with the number of dining options, as there are 7 restaurants, 8 bars, and 24-hour room service. One of the three pools was right on the beach, and apparently it’s the largest free form pool on the entire island. Swim up bars always make me smile. I counted 7 whirl pools. All suites have mahogany furniture, European jet showers, marble bathrooms, and ooh-la-la, a two- person Jacuzzi. I should mention there is a “spectacular” Kids Zone daytime program for children 12 and under that’s already included in the all inclusive package.
I love extravagance, but not at the expense of others. It felt good to know I was staying at a resort that’s ITR certified, meaning that Paradisus Palma Real operates with sustainability and special attention to the local culture.
Location:
This amazing and all inclusive resort is situated on The Dominican Republic’s Bavaro Beach, legendary for its pristine, powdery Caribbean shore. Only 25 minutes from the airport until you reach crystal waters, fresh gardens, and towering palms. The architecture is richly magnificent. Overall, this place is the epitome of elegance and fun… just what I’d expect from any Apple vacation!

Barcelo Punta Cana Hotel – Dominican Republic All Inclusive

Posted by applespecials On January - 17 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS

Punta Cana is one of the most gorgeous destinations for travelers seeking a Caribbean all inclusive getaway.  The resort districts of Punta Cana and Bavaro beach, situated on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, enjoy powder-soft pearl-sand beaches and tranquil turquoise waters that made the Caribbean a famous vacation district.

One of the most stunning resorts in the area is the Barceló Punta Cana Hotel, located just 25 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.

Barceló Punta Cana Hotel – Not the Only Barceló All Inclusive on the Block

The area of Bavaro was once a village built to house the workers and service-industry workforce that ran the all inclusive resorts in Punta Cana.  Because the beach is so attractive and the area grew to be so charming, it has since become a resort district of its own, hosting many Barceló all inclusive resorts, epic pro-designed golf courses and several casinos amongst the tropical beaches of the Dominican Republic.

Barceló Punta Cana Amenities

Take a look at our exclusive Apple vacations video of the Barceló Punta Cana and you’ll see why this is an attractive option for guests seeking the full Caribbean all inclusive experience.

The grounds include about 4 million square feet of tropical gardens, interlaced with lagoon-style pools with an amazing swim-up bar.

Barceló Punta Cana Spa – Metamorphosis

If you’re enjoying a honeymoon or couples vacation, know that the brilliant onsite spa Metamorphosis, has been newly renovated.  The spa contains hydrotherapy, massage cabins, saunas, Jacuzzis and a full beauty salon.

Family Friendly Punta Cana All Inclusive

The area is bustling with resorts and hotels, including a convention center, casinos and dance clubs for nightlife, golf and a slew of dazzling restaurants.  While the Barceló Punta Cana is great for many types of travelers, they don’t exclude families.  Kids have dedicated facilities including a kids club, water slides and kid-friendly activities like ping pong, skating, water sports and a climbing wall.

Bavaro is a fantastic tourist complex on the Dominican Republic’s eastern province of La Altagracia.

The history of the Bavaro region as a tourist region began with all inclusives in nearby Punta Cana—Bavaro was actually initially set up as a village for resort workers and staff that ran the popular resorts in Punta Cana.

Since the area is so beautiful and hotels continually developed and sprouted up along the region, Bavaro itself developed into a resort services area.

Barceló All Inclusives in Bavaro

Barceló actually has a network of all inclusive resorts in the Bavaro region—in addition to the Punta Cana hotel, there is the Barceló Palace Deluxe Hotel, a Barceló Casino Hotel, a Barceló Beach Hotel and Convention Center, and others.

There’s also fabulous golfing in the region—visitors to most of the Barceló Bavaro resorts can play rounds on the P.B. Dye-designed course for about $40 plus tips.

Solo, Couples or Family Vacations?

Since there are so many hotels with different themes, Barceló Bavaro is actually a fine place for many types of travelers—some hotels have periods where they are adult-only, then transition to accommodate families the remainder of the year.

Because of the diverse traffic that can exist unpredictably in the Bavaro region, we typically recommend the area as a family vacation site—sometimes the traffic, conventions and kid-friendly atmospheres could detract from a couples vacation or honeymoon, however, couples on a budget looking for value might find some really attractive options.

All Inclusive Punta Cana Landscape

Regardless of which Bavaro all inclusive hotel you chose to stay in, the area itself is teeming with old-world Spanish charm.

Hotels and villas exude Mediterranean and Spanish influence amongst lush greenery and gorgeous white-sand beaches. The shallow turquoise waters of the Dominican Republic are like a Caribbean postcard—this is truly a spot that allows you to find value Apple vacations deals with moderate hotels without sacrificing any outdoor amenities.

Or check out the Barceló Palace Deluxe if you’re looking for a more luxurious stay all around.
